This is an image I've made as part of an Art-Trade with cbalk193 ([link]), portraying her OC called "Frightful John". I've mostly used this image as a reference: [link]
It was a bit of a challenge finding the right gap between our styles, but I think I've found a way to draw him so he's both recognizable and drawn in a style which I can call my own. Getting out of my "comfort zone" is what doing these art trades is all about.
If you want to do an art-trade with me as well, let me know by sending me a note or check out my journal entry .
Thanks! I figured he'd need a little something to be able to drink his tea in a tree. No idea why I wanted him to drink tea in the tree in the first place, just came up with it and figured it would be a nice fit
First of all, I love you. This is so perfect. His face and everything is spot on and it's just the right balance between human and cat! Also, I love his little tree dumbwaiter! Thank you so much for this!!!
Just realized I forgot his right whiskers (fixed!). x/
Anyway, I'm glad you like it! It took multiple attempts before I had is face right, I even made some mistakes in my first sketch's composition. But I'm happy with how it turned out. This is probably the brightest drawing in my gallery.

I just noticed his hat
Are you ever planning to write a book or tv series with your characters?
Also this isn't one of my characters (as you can read in the description, it's created by cbalk193)
(Yes I noticed but you're the one who actually drew it!)
